I am currently based in Washington, D.C., but have lived a number of places throughout the world. Although I do not have a formal education in photography, I have pursued this passion through work-study and various workshops. I strive to distill images to their basics and to tune out any white noise. Much of my work centers on peace, tranquility, and quiet contemplation. A moment can be captured and studied again for new meaning. Images are captured digitally or on 35 mm film. My current emphasis is on black and white portraiture, attempting to capture a unique view of a subject’s inner character, not just a forced smile. |
